Water tile

For this week's challenge we were asked to use a water theme. I used Nipa and Tipple to create a ZIA with the sgraffito technique. I have been experimenting with different oil pastels,  and used Crayola for this piece.  Crayola isn't my favorite, but I think this turned out well.

  1. Don't know what the sgraffito technique is but your ZIA is well done.

    1. Sgraffito is a layering of oil pastels which are scratched through to reveal underlying colors. Basically, it is the scratch art we all did as kids☺. I'm glad you enjoyed my ZIA.

    1. Thank you! I'm always nervous that the colors I have used for the layers in sgraffito won't look as good on the finished work as they did in my mind, but I think this one turned out nicely.
