The Diva's Challenge this week was to draw a string with your eyes closed, and then fill in with tangle patterns of your choice. I also participate in a Facebook group called Square One: Purely Zentangle. The focus for Square One this week was Betweed. I decided to combine the Challenge with the Focus, and this is what I came up with. I think it looks like a High-Top athletic shoe.
The patterns I used were Betweed, Knights Bridge, Girdy, Beedz, Aquafleur and Grass Border. I shaded with a 4B graphite pencil rather than the usual 2B, giving this tile a bit more depth.
In other news, I have sold at least one of my necklaces from Mad Arts! Yay! I have been working on some new designs which are tangles set into pendant trays and placed under glass. I plan to post pictures of those later this week, so check back. I have also uploaded a few new drawings to RedBubble, so be sure to check them out. The Phicops/Diva Dance challenge from a few weeks ago looks great on a tote bag!

Your tile is very pretty and I like the dark shading. I use 6B for shading most of the time.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile! I like the movement here. Really pretty Aquafleur!
ReplyDeleteVery nice tile. As it was loading I though of laces on a shoe. Your Aquafleur is great. Congratulations on your selling endeavors.
