Christmas Toy

This year I was extremely surprised to find a Wacom Intuos under the Christmas tree. My little brother evidently checked out my Pinterest boards to choose the perfect gift for me.  He chose extremely well. Today is the first day I have had off since Christmas, so I have spent the day playing with my new toy. It takes a bit of getting used to, as I am looking at the computer screen to see what I am drawing rather than at the tablet where I am drawing. I think I am starting to get the hang of it, and thought I would share my first finished drawing. This is not a Zentangle or ZIA, as I am not yet comfortable enough with the new tablet to do anything intricate, but that won't take long. So here is the drawing I did using my Wacom Intuos in Photoshop Elements 12.

I also mentioned in a previous post that I would be sharing ZIAs I did as Christmas gifts, so here is the one I had made into a tshirt for my little brother (yes, the same awesome brother who gifted me the new tablet)

And finally the Daisy Duck I made for my niece. I started with a 5x7 drawing, and shrank it in photoshop so that it fit onto a necklace for her. I will most likely frame the original and give it to her for her birthday next year.

Happy New Year!
