The challenge this week is to combine Phicops and Diva Dance. This was my first time using either, and I am very pleased with the outcome.
I have been playing around with mixed media, and decided to have some fun with the background. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in Salty Ocean and Vintage Photo. For the drawing I used Sakura Micron Pigma 01s in brown and sepia as well as a white Gelly Roll. All of my shading was done with a dark brown Prismacolor Verithin colored pencil.

What a fun mixed media tile! Great work!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I have only recently started playing with mixed media on paper, but have been experimenting with it for a while in jewelry making. It really gives you a lot of options!
DeleteLove it! your phicops has sharp edges, sort of "flinging" itself outward. The colors are luscious, too! great tile
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like the colors as well. I need more practice drawing phicops, I like this one, but it wasn't comfortable to draw.
Deletethis is beautiful. The colours are stunning, as is the background. very well done
ReplyDeleteQuite dramatic!!! The background makes it 'pop', very well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the background. Like the swoosh of your Phicops. The white highlights really set things off.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mixed media. Love the color combinations
