Pink

The Diva's Challenge this week was pink. This was oddly difficult for me, because I am not generally a fan of pink. Pink makes me think of Pepto Bismol, which I try to avoid :)  After digging through my supplies a bit, I did find a pink Gelly Roller, a couple different shades of pink Crayola colored pencils and a pink Tim Holtz Distressed Marker (Worn Lipstick to be exact). I decided to use Aquafleur as my focus, primarily because it was the focus tangle for the Facebook group I am in. I finished off the background with Tipple using a white Gelly Roller over the Worn Lipstick Distressed Marker.

Below is the tile I completed last week for  my Square One: Purely Zentangle facebook group post. Square One: Purely Zentangle focuses on one tangle each week (though you are allowed to use others along with the focus tangle) and goes back to the basics of Zentangle, using a 3 1/2" white tile, a black pen and a graphite pencil for shading. While I certainly enjoy playing with other media, it is really nice to go back to the basics at least once a week.

The Focus for Square One changes each Friday, so I already have a posting for the current  week. The focus this week is Beelight.

I hope you are enjoying my work, and as always, HAPPY TANGLING!

    1. Stacie, I was able to order some Cabochons here and have just finished my first one. I'll show it on my blog next week. I'm still so glad that you gave me the idea. So, 1000 times 'thank you'!
