The focus for the Facebook group I belong to (Square One: Purely Zentangle) was Fengle. I got a bit more creative with that post... In my Fengle tile I included Aquafleur, Spaander, Meer and Beadlines. I really like the way this one turned out.
Aside from the Weekly Challenge and the Weekly Focus, I also made several new necklaces. If you happen to follow my Facebook page ( http://facebook.com/TangleCrazed ), you may have already seen a few of these, but this is the first post anywhere for several of them. Please let me know what you think!

i LOVE the first one that has a lot of black in it; it's so very striking.
ReplyDeleteAnd the necklaces? They are so lovely, can (and will) you tell me how to do that? I would love to make some myself.
Thank you so much for the kind comments. I have had a couple requests for instructions on the pendants, so I will list them in a general comment.
DeleteYour two tiles are wonderful! Great contrast in the Yuma-tile ... and beautiful Fengle variations!
ReplyDeleteYour necklaces are really great .... especially I like "Purple Fengle". I also would like to know how do you create these necklaces.
Instructions will be in an upcoming comment! I'm glad you liked my Yuma, I was unsure i the black was too much.
Deleteyour Yuma is very interesting because it is so dark - different and creative. I LOVE your jewelry. I'm going to have to look up spaander as it has a very art deco feel to it, which I love. Are you using resin to make these pendants?
ReplyDeleteLove the pendants!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I will be opening an Etsy shop featuring these at the beginning of the year. The shop will be called Tangle Crazed, just like my blog and my facebook page.
DeleteSince I have had a few requests, here is how I make my pendants. I start by creating my design using 005 micron pigmason heavy cardstock, usually under a magnifier. Most of the pendants are only an inch long/wide. Once my drawing is complete, using a clear glaze I glue a glass cabochon over the drawing. Once the glaze has dried completely, I trim any paper edges off, and sand the edges to remove any extra glaze. I then apply a thin coat of glaze to the back of the piece and let that dry completely. At this point, depending on the look I am going for, I either attach a bail to the back, or glue the piece into a metal pendant tray of the corresponding size using E6000. The rectangular pendants are done with bails, the rest are placed in trays. Let me know if you have questions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
DeleteThank you so much for the explanation! I found a shop in Belgium (next to Holland were I live) that sells the cabochons and cabochon settings, so I ordered some. Somewhere in the near future I will put photo's of mine on my blog. I'm so looking forward to making these!
ReplyDeletei like your YUMA-tile, but the necklaces, they are so special nice.....i would like to trie to make them too.
ReplyDeletethrough anne's blog i found yours....what a wonderful (IT-) world., even though i visited your blog also before.
Stacie, thank you for your explanation! Do mind sharing the name of the company you buy all of your supplies from? I recently went to a scrapbook fair, and came upon a really awesome product that does just this, but it is limited to size. When I get back to my computer, I will share that with you. It would be interesting to see the cost difference!!!
ReplyDeleteYour necklaces are just Gorgeous!!!!
I have also seen where people use dominos but have not looked into it that much!
Thanks again!! :0) Annette
I get my supplies primarily through Sun and Moon Craft Kits on Etsy. I have ordered from other places as well, but the prices at Sun and Moon are reasonable, and the customer service is excellent.
