All Boxed Up

The Diva Challenge this week was to use Alice Hendon's tangle, All Boxed Up. I used this tangle on three tiles, though on two of the tiles I did a triangular variation. The first tile is All Boxed Up surrounding a Sez variation.

My second tile is a stacked tile using N'Zeppel, Striping, Pia, All Boxed Up and a slightly wonky Msst. Msst is the focus tangle for Square One this week, so this tile will be posted to the Square One: Purely Zentangle group, as well as the Stacked and Tangled Facebook group.

My final tile this week is in the Sgraffito style, using a "Scratch and Sketch" tile which came in a st of 60.  This tile is also stacked, using All Boxed Up, Msst, Rain, and All Boxed Up again.

I also wanted to share my recent find of an Artist's Tile Album which is a photo album made specifically to hold 3 1/2" square tiles...288 of them to be exact.  I have been searching for the perfect way to display all of my tiles for a while, and this is it.  I hope others find this helpful as well.

As always, comments and critiques are welcome.

Happy Tangling!

  1. I love all of your tiles this week. Using All Boxed Up in a triangle is brilliant! It is so stunning visually with the circle in the center. Your stacked tile is a very nice mix of tangles that complement each other very well. But I think that I really love your last colorful Sgraffito style tile. I really love the brilliance of the colors on this and thank you for listing where you got the tiles. I think my granddaughters would love this. And thank you also for sharing the Artist's Tile Album. I'm sure that more than a few of us could use this one. Great week for you!

    1. I hope your granddaughters enjoy trying this. I remember loving to do this as a child, but it was very messy and time consuming when using crayons. With the Scratch Tiles, you get all the fun without the mess.
